Veronica Hearst is a well-known figure in the American high society not only for her beautiful individuality but also for her compassion for the society and her involvement with various charitable organizations. Married to Randolph Hearst, the owner of Hearst Organization she enjoyed eminence and popularity in the American high society for some time. However her active participation with many charitable organization and her initiatives for the betterment of the art community also contributed to her fame worldwide.

Veronica Hearst is a deep devotee of arts. Her part in the Save America’s Treasure program, a combined effort of the US government and the National Trust for Historic Preservation to protect and restore the endangered historical sites in US, is commendable. The plan has already undertaken several projects among which the most notable are Save America's Treasures, Preserve America, Historic Preservation Fund grants to States and Tribes. Also she has been actively involved with the restoration and maintenance of the Walker Evans Archive at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the most vulnerable historical sites in US.
