Many people believe America to be the land of opportunities but that is not true. There are people there too that sleep on an empty stomach. However it is with the presence of people like Veronica Hearst, who with their compassion are tirelessly working for the betterment of the society without expecting anything in return. She wants to eradicate hunger from the society and it is for this reason that she formed the American Hunger Alliance (AHA) which aims to feed the poor and the needy without any racial prejudices. For Veronica Hearst it is one for all and all for one. She believes that the problem of hunger and poverty can only be solved with a united front and is determined to make her cause succeed.
She considers the youth the future of the nation and believes that well fed and well nutritioned youth will be able to improve the society. According to her children who are well fed have the ability to outshine other with malnutrition when it comes to academics. For Veronica Hearst it is a healthier body for successful ideas for the future. She is working effcetivley to reduce malnutrition amongst children under the age of 4 and believes it will result in the decrease of child death rate, smaller nationwide costs on health and a better future for the nation as the youth is the future workforce.
