No doubt America is a prosperous country but there are still people who sleep on an empty stomach. There are still various cases of malnutrition amongst people in America and often children fall prey to it. Without the help of people like Veronica Hearst and her organization American Hunger Alliance, the dream for combating hunger and starvation in the society is just a dream. She thinks of malnutrition and hunger in the society as an evil that needs to be immediately uprooted and is working relentlessly to achieve her cause.
What veronica Hearst dreams about is possible but only if a good approach is taken towards it. She knows the children of today are tomorrow’s future and there is a need to provide food and nourishment for them so that they can grow up to become better citizens tomorrow and work for the prosperity of the nation. She believes if malnourishment is tackled in children within the ages of 4 and below there is vast chance that the problem will be solved and the youth can grow up to perform better in academics and for the prosperity of the nation as well. She believes concentrating on this would have many benefits including lower infant mortality rates and less national medical expenses.
