Veronica Hearst

Veronica Hearst has earned her fame in the high American society because of her active involvement with many charitable causes and social welfare movements. She is a charming and a very intellectual lady and can easily converse in seven different languages. Also her love for arts and a great sense for fashion keep her in the line of well-known all over the society. She wants to work effectively to remove the evil of hunger and poverty from the American society and has founded the American Hunger Alliance for the same objective.

Veronica Hearst has chaired the Americans for the Arts (AFTA) organization since 1998 and has successfully provided opportunities to the many Americans interested in arts to get a better knowledge and develop their interest further in the subject. Under AFTA she has also headed the National Awards Program which aims to recognize talents in the field of arts, philanthropy, advocacy, education and corporate giving.

She has taken active part in the restoration and foundation keeping of many historical and arts museums respectively. The new Metropolitan Museum has her full devotion and involvement with their photography committee since past 15 years. She has also played a major role for the preservation of the Walker Evans Archive at the Metropolitan Museum, which is one of the most vulnerable historical sites in US.

Veronica Hearst also devotes her time and energies to the White House Millennium Council which works to preserve the present US history, culture and scientific achievements for the future generations to come. Whatever she has done for the arts community cannot be forsaken.
